1.) A patrol from the 104th Infantry Division, 415th Regiment, Company G as they carefully advance on the Hangebruke and Hohenzollern Bridges over the Rhine inside the rubble-strewn remains of Cologne, Germany on March 7, 1945.
2.) Corportal Irving Rappaport of Brooklyn, New York from the 415th Regiment, Company G holding a Browning Automatic Rifle on a German POW who has just surrendered during the brutal fighting for Cologne, Germany on March 6, 1945. The German he has just captured had been sniping at the company only a few minutes prior to his capture.
