As to when and where these photos were taken, I default to

"Bob, The pictures must have been taken at Camp San Luis Obispo, CA , after the division came home. Notice that the men were wearing their Combat Infantryman Badges. And reference your "October roster", this is most likely October, 1944, certainly not after that. Note that Lt Col Collins Perry is listed & he was wounded in early Nov, '44." - Thanks Pete, much appreciated!
