As to when and where these photos were taken, I default to the master himself, Peter Branton (Timberwolf and webmaster for the Official Timberwolf site, as well as all around great guy!)http://members.aol.com/infdiv104/ Here is his comments and best guess:
"Bob, The pictures must have been taken at Camp San Luis Obispo, CA , after the division came home. Notice that the men were wearing their Combat Infantryman Badges. And reference your "October roster", this is most likely October, 1944, certainly not after that.
