"I have his picture along with one taken when several of his buddies went into town (photo3 above).  The others in the picture are unidentified and I'd love for you to post it in case someone else could identify the others.

I also have scanned the three letters he wrote home along with word documents that 'interpret' them.  The last one he wrote was on Nov 8--three days before he died.

And last, he was the first soldier 'brought home' to East Texas after the War and there were numerous newspaper articles and a solemn parade honoring him and all soldiers killed.  I have newspaper stories about all that.  Anyway, I'd like to send it all as a tribute to him.  I've planned a webpage, but never taken the time to do it. Yes, I do have a copy of his info from the WWII Registry.  We just had a family reunion and I gave everyone a copy of his last letter.  My mom just gave it all to me last year." - Jan Dobbs Barton

Thank you for supplying this information Jan!
